Alright, I'm blogging already

I guess you're tired of reading about my boo's pee issues (they appear to be resolved now, YAY!) and you're wanting something new. As you can tell it's been a minute (or two) since I've posted anything new. Anyway, here it goes...

How odd is it that the ultra religious conservative Rev. Jerry Falwell and the liberal civil rights activist Yolanda King die on the same day: one in the morning and the other at night. How sad. While I wasn't exactly a Falwell supporter by any means, I'm not one who can say that I'm happy that he's dead (glad that he will never be able to spew his yuck and doomsday predictions, but not glad to hear that he died). When I told my coworker the news, his response was: "Who shot him? Who poisoned him? Who ran over him with a truck?" We had a little chuckle over that, but really, it's not very funny. I'm sure his family is crushed, considering that apparently earlier in the day he gave no indication that he was sick or feeling unwell. It's been said that he may have died of a sudden heart attack. That's just sad.

Now, I wake up this morning to hear that Yolanda King, daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his late wife Coretta Scott King, has also died in what is being said may be another case of sudden heart failure. I was actually shocked to hear the news. She was only 51. That's way too young. She seemed so full of life, and now she's gone. Wow. It's still a shock .

I know this is totally unrelated, but were you aware that none of the King children had children themselves and none were married? It makes me wonder what kind of challenges they must have faced being the children of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. No one to continue the legacy. That's also sad.

Anyway, that's my contribution for the day. I'll try to make my next post less depressing...
